SOLO

To focus on individual explorations of the medium, the Fair features the SOLO sector, supporting young galleries and artist studios established within the last five years. 

• Independent artist Luis Casadevall presents Havana: We Still Have the Soul, revealing unspoken vitality in the everyday. 

• Gu Zhongsheng interprets “viewing” as a linguistic structure, using cyanotype to allow light, time, and paper to generate imagery. 

• Wang Pan (Hardjo Gallery) captures his hometown through medium-format environmental portraits and documentary. 

• Gai Shaohua (West Gallery) uses large-format photography to focus on high-altitude rock formations, where monochrome tones resonate between Eastern cosmology and the purity of “straight photography”. 

• Duan Yueheng (Zhi Hua Art) focuses on black-and-white landscapes with delicate greyscale to build an ethereal, Zen-like Eastern atmosphere. 

• Li Chenchi (DongLai Art) investigates the materiality of image production and the ritualistic nature of sensory transformation.
