About the Artist
Luo Dan
Luo Dan was born in Chongqing in 1968. He graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1992, now lives and works in Chengdu, Sichuan.
He has won the 7th Art Award of China, The Annual Influence-Photography Awards (2013) with his series work Simple Song, Hou Dengke Documentary Photography Prize (2011), the Best New Photographer award at the Dali International Photography Festival (2011), Top 20-2011 Chinese Contemporary New Talent (2011) and the Golden Award for Outstanding Artist at the Lianzhou International Photography Festival (2008) with the series work North, South.
His work has been collected by many art institutions and individuals, including San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, SFMOMA(US), Société Générale (France), Fidelity Investments (US), Peabody Essex Museum, PEM (US), and Teni Photography Foundation.

Maypark Gallery (Chengdu)
Maypark Gallery is a gallery brand of Maypark Cultural Center, adjacent to the Fuhe Photography Park in Chengdu, with a total area of 700 square meters. At present, it is also the only exclusive gallery for all kinds of works from Sebastião Salgado, a famous photography artist.
