The world is in disorder. People lost confidence in the pandemic, lost manners in the war. Individuals are drowned in reality and virtuality. I have to refocus on life, repair perception and the alienated intelligence. I look through those neglected matters and object with a perceptive gaze – do not exhaust in a divided world without truth.
Zhou Qiang was born in Zigong, China, and is currently based in Chengdu. Zhou has been awarded the 7th Hou Dengke Documentary Photography Award in 2019, the 12th Three Shadows Photography Award in 2020, and was nominated for the prize at Magnum Foundation in 2018 and 2019. Zhou’s previous solo exhibitions include “Surviving” at Yaner Bay Contemporary Art Museum in 2019 and “Surviving” at Dali International Photo Exhibition in 2019. Officially founded in Oct. 2017, the Art Center focused on the collection, sales, communication and exhibition planning of contemporary artistic photographic works.
